NRCHC offers a range of services to the diverse communities who live and visit the City of Yarra. We also offer a number of targeted Statewide Programs. The Centre mandates a philosophy of providing culturally appropriate primary and social services to disadvantaged individuals and groups, especially refugees and newly arrived communities. Through extensive planning and consultation processes, we are responsive to the changing needs of the community, providing programs that capture both marginalised and well-connected clients.
Maintaining a commitment to quality client care is central to our operations. We continuously strive to improve processes and practices that offer visitors, clients and staff Good Practice standards in health care. This includes compliance with all relevant and legislation such as the privacy and management of health records. Through an annual planning cycle, all Programs must evaluate and review their contributions to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), implementing changes that ensure a responsible approach to managing available resources with competing needs.
